How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

In March of this year, I published a review of the newly released Leica S3 camera. The review was based on my testing of the prototype before it went into production. In short, the camera was outstanding.

I have now received my own S3 camera and have started using it. Note that I purchase my gear from established resellers. I do not accept ambassador offers from any manufacturer in order that my reviews and recommendations are not influenced by a commercial relationship.

Everything that I described in the review applies to the released camera, with a few tweaks that improved some operational inconsistencies, which were to expected in a prototype.

The image below is one of the first that I made with the new camera and APO-Macro-Summarit-S lens.

Congratulation! I hope I can get one sometime next year, still debating to myself. Color would be my biggest incentive to upgrade, hopefully, more S3 images will surface.

Looks a little like autumn crocus - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colchicum_autumnale (but I can be mistaken, of course...;)).
