John Z. Goriup Posted July 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) …..went for a very relaxing and pleasant drive in wine country today to visit a couple of friends who own vineyards in Napa valley. They're quite optimistic that drought notwithstanding, it's going to be a good crop & a fine year. Taken with the newV-114, a significantly better camera than my old V-Lux-4… better sensor, far greater color fidelity, improved camera handling and with important and useful features, and a notably sharper & smoother lens. A win-win upgrade any way you look at it. Thanks for looking, JZG Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Hi John Z. Goriup, Take a look here I think the 2015 vintage will be just fine. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
fotografr Posted July 15, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2015 I agree with you about the camera and the vintage. By the looks of these grapes your friends should have a very good year.
stuny Posted July 15, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 15, 2015 Beautiful! BTW: My V-Lux 114 developed a problem, and I'll be dropping it at Leica NJ this morning. I had to go back to my V-Lux 4 for our Santa Fe trip July 9 through 13. Still a good camera, but an instant reminder of the many improvements in the 114. One improvement I've never seen mentioned is with the 114 you no longer are likely to accidentally change the diopter setting, a real problem on my V-Lux4 and my D2. BTW#2: Your La Ferrari photos of a few months ago are far better than the ones in the current issue of Road & Track.
Northwest Wanderer Posted July 15, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 15, 2015 I agree with you that the VL114 is an improvement over the V-Lux 4.
Hunebed Posted July 15, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 15, 2015 For the cheers to come! (Based on all the fine pictures i see here i am tempted, but i am going to push that v-lux 4 hard to get some good shots for the rest of the year)
