If you care to google, you'll find about a million threads on this in the various watch forums. There has been a long debate about this for years and most of the producers have switched to coating the inside only, but not the outside. Once the coating is scratched, you can polish it off. The scratches will be gone, but the glass will reflect light. (I should probably not call this scratches, but marks...) The issue on the Q is that the viewfinder glass is quite wide, allowing the sun to shine on it in situations where there is light behind you. A better rubber eyecup would probably solve this in the next version of the Q... the current solution has obviously been to apply an anti reflection coating. I wouldn't think first of my glasses if it happened to me, as I would think it quite difficult to reach something like that with an corner of my glasses.
