Advertisement Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Hi Peter H, Take a look here Optical Image Stabilisation. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Winedemonium Posted June 18, 2015 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2015 On how it works technically, or how well implemented it is? No idea on the former, but on the latter, I have just rattled off some quick test shots (I've had the camera an hour or so), and for web use I was happy with a shot at 1/5 second. I've put that one in the image thread.

Mark D Posted June 18, 2015 Share #5 Posted June 18, 2015 In another post didn't someone mention that the lens made a clunking sound when the power is off? If that is so then the Q's image stabilization is in the lens and not the body. I have noticed the same clunking sound in my Sony video cam and you can even see the optics in the lens move. wildlightphoto Posted June 18, 2015 Share #7 Posted June 18, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm guessing the OIS is a Copal combined shutter / OIS unit.
