Has anyone ordered or is already using a screen protector for their Leica Q.  Where did you order it and what is the dimension of the screen.

Leica will be shipping their own in the far future and are likely to be expensive.

There aren't any available as of today. I have checked most third parties and finally just asked my dealer to have a Leica one ready for me. 

The dimension as per my measure are 6.9 x 4.4 mm if I remember correctly - better double check yours. I am using an extra iphone protector that I just cut down to fit.

The Leica Q3 is available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video and Adorama

here in Munich the Leica-Dealer will give you two or three screen protectors if you buy the cam there.

So, just ask your dealer for it also...

I'm wondering if for starter a lcd screen protector for for example iPhone 6 can be used. Anyone here know exactly the screen size of the Q in mm?

Apparently the Larmor GGS Glass screen protector for the D-Lux 6 fits perfectly. Just ordered on ebay for  £6.

 

Had a GGS on my Fuji and highly recommended.

I was in Red Dot Cameras recently and the proprietor mentioned that he felt he had a much better solution for a screen protector for the Q than Leica's own.  I can't recall the brand ('might' have been a Giottos) but if you contact them at the link above I feel sure they'll happily pass the info on or perhaps even supply one if preferred.  (For full disclosure I am not connected to Red Dot in any way other than as a satisfied customer.)

Not sure about ACMAXXX glass protector. 

I am using GGS glass protector on my Q.

Touch screen is fine.

I have the official leica screen film on mine, i don't like it at all, it has a matt texture and degrades the quality by quite abit, i will be removing it once i receive my oleophobic clear one from eBay which also comes with an eve protector film.

According to our friends at Expert Shield, their protector that fits the Panasonic Lumix TZ60 is the one for us.  Just ordered one.  Hope this helps!!

Received the Expert Shield TZ60 today. Not a perfect fit but usable. You may want to wait until they make one expressly for the Q. Bet it won't be long.

Just "installed" the

for 8,90€ from Amazon. Looks good at first sight. It took me four tries until it really matched, horrible job...

 

Now I wonder about the EVF. Needs also protection...?

Have just applied the Official Leica screen protector.

It's matt finishing and some what degrade the LCD screen quality.

But on the flip side, there is no more finger prints issues,

its smoother to control the touch screen with one's fingers.

I have put glass protector for Panasonic GM1, Deff High Grade Glass Screen Protector for Panasonic GM1 DPG-PAGM1. Also, For Fujifilm X-T10 appears to be perfect size for Q as well. I have a spare leica screen film if anyone in London wants it.

The healing shield i purchased off eBay does a perfect job and looks as if the camera doesn't have any film on at all.

The GGS for D-Lux 6 does not work for me.  While the external dimensions are fine, the black band on the top and bottom obscure part of the screen.
