Female Ruby throated hummingbird. This one is really cropped from max iZoom, making it appear out of focus. I didn't want to get any closer for the fear of spooking her off. 

The red underneath is actually the reflection from the feeder, she is white otherwise

It could be “The Painted Lady”. I am guessing in my very limited knowledge of butterflies.
