fotografr Posted June 5, 2015 Share #5 Posted June 5, 2015 Nice shot (and bird house). I've always loved those little birds. A long time ago I was fly fishing in Montana and was using a very tiny dry fly. There had been a big hatch of midges and hundreds of swallows were picking them off the surface of the water. One got my fly and it hooked on the bird's beak. I was all but certain it would die but after slowly reeling it across the surface of the water I was able to get it in my hand. Here's the amazing part--at that point the bird completely relaxed and let me remove the hook, then calmly flew off.

Interesting it calmed down and let you remove the hook. It must have been a thrill to hold the swallow in your hand. Experiences like that stay with you forever. Thank you everyone for your nice comments.
FrancoisF Posted June 6, 2015 Share #9 Posted June 6, 2015 Beautiful picture Bill. I like very much the contrast between the colour of the swallow and the green weeds. Regards. Francois
