Advertisement Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Hi hm1912, Take a look here LX1/DLux2 noise. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
biglouis Posted July 31, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2006 Yes and no. I rarely shoot at beyond 100 ASA and I can't say any of my pictures have been dogged by noise. Noise that has been present has been in very low light situations and I have successfully reduced it using Noise Ninja. It is a remarkable little camera and I'm actually glad I did not buy a DSLR instead purely because I don't have to lug around a bigger piece of kit (I was thinking of getting a Nikon D70s kit). That said, I am beginning to lust after a s/h R8 or M6 purely because I'd like more lense options. LouisB PS If you on my name and go to my web site you'll see examples of photos I've taken exclusively with the D-LUX
calvados Posted August 1, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 1, 2006 For you LX1/ D-Lux 2 users, do you guys have any problems with noise? Thanks! My samples. D-Lux2 image sensor is quite small, therefore dark area noise and small dynamic range is destiny. I uploaded same samples at following. http://www.leica-camera-user.com/digital-forum/2425-leica-d-valio-elmarit-14-50mm.html Pic 1 6mm, F2.8, 1/3sec, ISO400, with no flash Developed by Rowshooter 1.3, Noise Reduction 20/100, white balance is camera information. Pic 2 13mm, F3.6, 1/30sec ISO100, with flash Developed by Rowshooter 1.3, Noise Reduction 20/100, white balance is camera information. Welcome, dear visitor!
