LX1/DLux2 noise

Yes and no. I rarely shoot at beyond 100 ASA and I can't say any of my pictures have been dogged by noise. Noise that has been present has been in very low light situations and I have successfully reduced it using Noise Ninja.

It is a remarkable little camera and I'm actually glad I did not buy a DSLR instead purely because I don't have to lug around a bigger piece of kit (I was thinking of getting a Nikon D70s kit).

That said, I am beginning to lust after a s/h R8 or M6 purely because I'd like more lense options.

PS If you on my name and go to my web site you'll see examples of photos I've taken exclusively with the D-LUX 2

For you LX1/ D-Lux 2 users, do you guys have any problems with noise?

Thanks!

My samples.

D-Lux2 image sensor is quite small, therefore dark area noise and small dynamic range is destiny.

I uploaded same samples at following.
