EdwardM Posted September 23, 2015 Share #43 Posted September 23, 2015 Guys, how to define the production date of the Lens?
hiepphotog Posted September 23, 2015 Share #44 Posted September 23, 2015 Guys, how to define the production date of the Lens? There should be a sticker on the white paper box outside and another one on the warranty card that tells you the production date.

kwang411 Posted November 4, 2015 Share #47 Posted November 4, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) looks like this thread has died, are people not getting their hands on this lens? I'm in Canada and I've placed an order since July. Still eagerly waiting. Last week Leica San Fran and Miami each got one, hopefully Canada is soon! IkarusJohn Posted November 4, 2015 Share #48 Posted November 4, 2015 I'm optimistic mine will turn up before Christmas - I expressed interest in this lens when the chrome version was released as part of the 100 Year Set, and confirmed the order the day the lens was announced. It is clearly hard to make, much like the APO-Summicron 50.

don daniel Posted November 5, 2015 Share #52 Posted November 5, 2015 I have sold my Summicron 28mm and my Summarit 75mm to buy the Summilux 28. The Leica M with the Summilux 28 and the Apo-Summicron 50mm ist a dream team. I have already used my Summilux 28, but I don't have the right to show these pics. But I will post samples as soon as possible.

IkarusJohn Posted November 6, 2015 Share #55 Posted November 6, 2015 This was taken in a hurry. These are flax flowers. The Tui, or parson bird, photographed by Eion Christie and posted elsewhere love them - sadly there wasn't one there when I took this shot. M Edition 60, ISO 200, 28 Summilux, f/2 at 1/3,000. Edited on a small screen - I suspect f/2 was too wide; f/5.6 might have been better. Welcome, dear visitor! don daniel Posted November 8, 2015 Share #59 Posted November 8, 2015 There were only a few single light spots from above, from the side and from behind here. This is ISO 4000, shot with a Leica M Type 240, convertet from DNG in Capture One, shutter speed 1/45s, denoising and debanding in Nik Dfine2:
