John Basso Posted May 2, 2015 Share #1  Posted May 2, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration)     Hello There. My May 1/15 visit to Toronto's High Park gave me the opportunity to get this shot of one of the first buds sprouting from the Japanese Sakura tree.In 1959 2000 of these trees were a gift from the city of Tokyo by the Japanese  Ambassador to Canada  at that time: Toru Hagiwara ,to Toronto. Most of them were planted in High Park and some at the Toronto Islands. In another week or so they might be fully bloomed and throngs of Japanese visitors will come to the park , which will make it very difficult to get shots without people, also parking will pretty well be impossible. Thanks for looking.  Greetings: John Basso.
