Unless Leica chooses to introduce the next M at photokina 2016 or at some other fixed date outside their control, chances are the camera will be available immediately or shortly after its announcement.

What is an M260?  Leica has been on a roughly three year cycle. M8: 2006  M9: 2009  M240: 2012. the next in that sequence if they adhere to it is 2015.

First they will sell you an extra year of warranty. In this way, they can wait with the release of the next M until  2016... But lets face it. The M still is e very well build camera. IMHO we can wait another year.

Are you trying to say:

1. "Leica is going to introduce the M at the Photokina 2016."

2. "If things go wrong, it's going to be somewhat later on a different date."

3  "The cameras will be immediately available."

4  "If everything goes according to plan. "

If the next M should be ready in late 2015 it will probably announced in late 2015 and hit the market at about that time.

If the next M should be ready in early 2016 it will probably announced in early 2016 and hit the market at about that time.

If the next M should be ready in early 2017 it will probably announced at photokina (September 2016) and we will have to wait a couple of months before it is ready for shipping.
