We have a very old maple tree out back that is nearing the end of its life. In an attempt to propagate, it spews out thousands of these seed pods. They're pretty, but I don't enjoy having to rake them from the gardens and clean them from the rain gutters. VL114

Reminds me to 'Sideshow Bob' from 'The Simpsons'. :D

Maybe you could explain your comment? You've lost me.

Never seen 'The Simpsons'?

KH and PPM:  I'll do that, but will have to see if I can get it in good light and from a good angle.

Well, not much to look at as it's still kind of bare but it's the best angle I can get. It's half in shadow, half in light and the base is very close to my garage. This is the upper two-thirds.
