nex100 Posted April 20, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 20, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi guys, I wonder if I am the only one wanting a f2 or f1.4 50mm equivalent Leica T lens. I have a Leica T and love it to bits. The 23mm summicron is good and so is the telephoto APO 55mm - 135mm lens. Both are value for money and performed well in its class. But a 50mm equivalent lens is missing? Please make one. regards, Kian Hon
Advertisement Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Hi nex100, Take a look here 50mm equivalent F/2 or F/1.4 Leica T lens. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
etermes Posted April 20, 2015 Share #2 Posted April 20, 2015 Hi, I am selling the 23mm summicron but only because a change of system, it's a fantastic lens, very hard to get that IQ right now without a lot of money, maybe with the Leica M 35mm summicron or the cheaper Zeiss 35mm Biogon
julian m Posted April 21, 2015 Share #3 Posted April 21, 2015 I too really enjoy shooting at the 50mm equivalent range. I rented a 35mm Summilux for a weekend just to try it out. It's a gorgeous lens. I'm clearly very bad at manual focus, though I started getting the hang of it by the end. I think it was just a touch too large and heavy for the T. I also felt severely limited by the minimum focus distance—couldn't really get the close food and portrait shots I wanted because I kept having to back up. I'll try out a 35mm Summicron next. Will be interesting to see if I mind the aperture change (I do like night shots). I really hope Leica has a 50mm equivalent T prime in the works. And that they make some good trade offs between aperture and physical size.
