Whenever in Rome I take photos at the Termini station

It's a great place for street photography, but I also like the architecture.

This series was taken in November last year with a lovely black paint iiic and summitar, and Tri-X - from my blog:

Rangefinder Chronicles: Leica iiic in Rome

Thanks for looking

Thanks Gary

Actually it was in the middle of the day and the statism was packed - as I think so of the other photos in my series on my blog will show. It's just I isolated those quite bits (mostly where I always have to queue for car hire) for these photos or architecture

Nick, I particularly like the strong graphical elements inherent in this set. With respect to the second and third shots, it would be interesting to see how a visit to the dark side to straighten the slightly converging verticals would make then look. What I'm not saying is that it would improve them, but it might be interesting to see the effect if they were completely rectilinear.

Thanks for the comments

As for straightening converging verticals and other editing, I may do some. I am planning on using a couple f these in a forthcoming Cafe City (Rome) book, but have been waiting to do a high res scan of the negs first. These scans were by my pro lab, who do a good job but they are only really big enough for web. I recently bought a Plustek 120 scanner for dedicated neg scanning, but don't get me started on the software glitches. They have had to send me at least one replacement but now promise, when I am back in the Uk, that the new software will work. If so, will make some good big scenes and then do some small tinkering...
