hydet Posted March 25, 2015 Share #22 Posted March 25, 2015 I've been using the Harry Benz Urūshī for the past few months and it may be the best strap I've ever used (and I've used most over the years). I like it so much that I just ordered another for my Monochrom. urūshī — Harry Benz Welcome, dear visitor! seekwul Posted March 25, 2015 Share #23 Posted March 25, 2015 I'll second the Harry Benz recommendation. I bought one last month - truly excellent worksmanship.
Tytan Posted April 1, 2015 Share #24 Posted April 1, 2015 Good old Leica leather strap for me,(14092).and .... before you ask ..... a vacuum cleaner motor band. Very nice strap. Does it concern you that the metal rings might scratch the body? Does it ... scratch?
Peter H Posted April 1, 2015 Share #25 Posted April 1, 2015 I may try this one. Looks great - maybe not red - but black! The A&A straps are wonderful in everyday use: having used them for the last five years, I can confidently say they are the best camera straps I've ever used.
algrove Posted April 1, 2015 Share #26 Posted April 1, 2015 I much prefer the Leica leather strap #14455 over Gordy or provided standard strap. Takes a bit for the leather to soften up, but it has a very secure feel. Heard too many unscrewing problems with Sniper type of tripod hole straps to use them. fotografr Posted April 2, 2015 Share #28 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) The Harry Benz straps are beautiful and well made, but not adjustable. My favorite for several years has been the Leica wide strap. Comfortable, butter soft after break-in and adjustable. Welcome, dear visitor! Comfortable, butter soft after break-in and adjustable. This the strap #14455 that I mentioned just above. I have an extra never used one I can part with. haribo Posted September 1, 2015 Share #30 Posted September 1, 2015 The Harry Benz straps are beautiful and well made, but not adjustable …. Purely out of curiosity, here's a question: If a strap is custom made to one's perfect length, why does it need to be adjustable?
pico Posted September 1, 2015 Share #31 Posted September 1, 2015 Purely out of curiosity, here's a question: If a strap is custom made to one's perfect length, why does it need to be adjustable? If it is leather it will stretch.
haribo Posted September 1, 2015 Share #32 Posted September 1, 2015 If it is leather it will stretch. That's not entirely true. It depends on what kind of leather it is. Yes, cow leather for instance does stretch (an awful lot). But there's also leather that stretches only minimally if at all.
ECohen Posted September 2, 2015 Share #33 Posted September 2, 2015 I love my Harry Benz strap. IMO its the best camera strap made, simple and perfect.
FeralCoton Posted September 2, 2015 Share #34 Posted September 2, 2015 I really like the minimalist strap I got from kentique.com. It has a nice architectural look and is comfortable and lightweight.
adli Posted September 2, 2015 Share #35 Posted September 2, 2015 I'll also second the Harry Benz recommendation. Replaced my Gordys for one, superior quality.

Edward Louis Marit Posted September 2, 2015 Share #37 Posted September 2, 2015 I vote for the A & A silk straps. Have one on every one of my bodies except the CL. In Black.

Peter H Posted September 3, 2015 Share #39 Posted September 3, 2015 I really like the minimalist strap I got from kentique.com. It has a nice architectural look and is comfortable and lightweight. Looks fine but I can't say I recognise anything minimalist about it.
johnbuckley Posted September 3, 2015 Share #40 Posted September 3, 2015 I am really partial to the Artisan and Artist straps pictured. I use the Leica Red one with my M, and a green one with my Monochrom. It is very helpful to have color-coded straps for knowing which camera to take out of the bag when moving quickly. And these straps also can wrap easily around the hand for a snug, safe, city streets hold, too. Nice choice.
