Leica M-P Set Safari: Camouflaged Special Model

Auf einer echten Safari geht vieles sehr schnell und man muß auch fotografisch schnell reagieren. Gerade hier vermißt man einen Autofokus an einer Camera was ich mehr als bedauerlich finde.

Not my experience...

Especially in the more static wildlife photography, which is, in practice, 90 % of the time, autofocus is a drawback. It struggles with fur and feathers, and one usually misses to focus on the all-important eye. Manual focus is preferable. As for action shots, well, technique and a bit of luck will work.

Anyway, the blokes with shiny new Tilley hats, starched Safari suits and shiny Safari boots will mostly be doing photography in the camp, featuring their spouses having G&Ts....

It must be pre-chewed before being worn...

You'd be fine - you would have corks hanging from it anyway...

I spoke to Leica to-day, sadly they do not include a Tilley Hat in the Safari Edition, B U T

they will enclose a cork from a bottle of Dom Pérignon
