samwells Posted May 16, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 16, 2007 Bernardo - pure and simple. I like the very narrow dof, and the way the background bokeh is so mysteriously painterly. Thanks for showing. cheers: Sam
leicamann Posted May 16, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 16, 2007 Although I love the treatment of the film here..I find myself wanting to get closer and know more about the flower..more detail...and even color...here I think you might want to take this project into color as well..using say the Fuji Reala as an equivalent ...if your striving for the B&W simplicity.. you need to add a bit more "dynamic to the image...sometimes the single flower...the single stem works..as an idea..as a concept....but here I think you need to push this a bit further and get away from a "cliche" or preconceived notion of what constitutes simple..sometimes what inspires is more powerful....don't be afraid to take some risks Regards, Leicamann
marc_dufour Posted May 16, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 16, 2007 I like this photo in b&w, as it is, with the delicate treatment you give to the light and soft focusing. However, perhaps I should prefer the focus point on the center of the flower, more than on foreground. A little detail. Matter of taste ;-) Marc
