platypus Posted January 11, 2015 Share #1  Posted January 11, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Fatso is the second largest (approx.10 inches nose to tail) of three blue-tongued lizards who reside in the walls of my house. He came for cake crumbs and posed for a few seconds while I grabbed the M9, unfortunately it had the 28mm lens on it at the time, so this is a 100% crop and a tad soft. Welcome, dear visitor! For sure there would have been many ways in which this shot could have been improved (though I never use a tripod) ....but I was a bit lucky to catch Fatso at all, he is quite shy and very quick to take off if a human appears. He certainly wasn't going to give me time to change lenses!
Northwest Wanderer Posted January 12, 2015 Share #4 Â Posted January 12, 2015 Interesting shot Dee. I can see why you named him Fatso. Looks like life is going well for him. Fast shots are so hard to take of animals that are shy. You did well.

I came out the kitchen door and saw him relaxing in that little bit of sunlight, so I scooted (quietly) inside and grabbed the M9 which happened to have the 28 on it. "He" may well be (for all I know) an expectant mother and not a boy lizard with a weight problem, only time will tell.
