Happy New Year to all!

I'm in Prague and wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a sensor cleaning service for an M-E? It's just over 2 years old and never had the sensor cleaned. With all the sensor corrosion news out there and unrelated to that, seeing some sloppy work done on some sensors, I just would like to take it to a place where it will be cleaned with proper care.

If there is no recommended options in Prague, I'm happy to travel to leica boutique in Dresden also if they provide such service.?

Any recommendations are much appreciated.

Cheers,

I am not letting anyone touch my M9 sensor. The camera is very low exposures and works perfectly.

Sensor cleaning is not hard and you can practice on a filter. Blow it off. I use a Rocket blower. Then go for the Pentax sticky lollypop, and finish with a wet. No need to do all the steps unless absolutely necessary.

You should clean frequently as the longer it sit, the bigger the problem. Blow off rear of new lens when changing and keep the inside of rear lens caps clean.

Follow the video on Copperhill on how to angle the swab.

Ok, how about Amsterdam and surroundings? Anyone? Thanks.

Henny Hoogeveen in Lisse should be able to help you. http://leicaboutiquelisse.nl. You could also try Nivo Schweitzer in Amsterdam center, but I don't know if they offer a sensor cleaning service. http://www.nivo-schweitzer.nl
