I have just bought a mint Summilux 75 1.4 (and very happy :) ) but not coded so I used manual lens detection on my M240. When I import a .dng into Lightroom (5.7) it is being recognized as such e.g. Summilux-M 1:1.4 75 but is there a lens correction profile to be found somewhere (it does not show up on the list) or should I use another lens profile for automatic correction. I appreciate your help in this... Marten

As far as I am aware with legacy lenses 6 bit or manual coding just supplies lens identification to LR. There is no lens profile.

I'm afraid if it is not on the drop down list in LR lens correction profile tab then it does not exist.

Apart from possibly vignetting at 1.4 I doubt the lens (being >50mm) needs much anyway .....

My 75 lux is coded, but I always deactivate it using the MM because of the magic of its fine vignetting at 1.4 / 2.0 ...

Same conditions like when using film!

My 75 Summilux is coded, but I always deactivate it using the M Monochrom because of the magic of its fine vignetting at f/1.4 of f/2 ... same conditions like when using film!

If you like the vignetting on film then you better keep the M Monochrom's lens profile activated because the in-camera vignetting correction doesn't remove the vignetting but reduces it to approximately the same level as it would be on film. With the profile disabled, you'll get more vignetting on digital than on film.

In Lightroom 5 for the Summilux-M 75 mm I use the profile of the Apo-Summicron-M 75 mm Asph and hope that this profile comes closest to the Summilux 75.

Bad idea.

In Lightroom, better choose no profile at all. The Summicron's pin-cushion-shaped distortion is more than twice as much as the Summilux's, so using the Summicron's profile for pictures taken with the Summilux will result in a gross over-compensation of the distortion, making things worse than with no correction at all. If you're desperate enough then you might try the Summicron's profile with the distortion's Correction Amount slider reduced to 40 % or thereabouts.
