I think you might be right about the focal length.

 

It probably is my 28mm summaron.

 

I went back and forth with three lenses with this roll. I used the 50mm DR the most, and the 28mm the least, and the 75mm lux in between (which clearly didn't take this photo). So I guess I got confused.

 

So 28mm it is (although this being a few steps away from where I park my car every morning, next week I am going to venture out to this point and double confirm.

 

What I like about this film shot is the grayscale grain in the sky, which give it a degree of texture and not just dead space.

It is a great shot. The 28mm would explain the perspective and the slight distortion on the pillars.

Many thanks, DJ. I have been thinking about it and really want to go back to that spot and confirm the focal length. It is not crazy that it could be a 50mm. I shall report back. Thanks for raising the question!

 

And as for the pillars, they are naturally articulated like that, so i am not sure there is any distortion, unless it is too subtle for me.

Many thanks, Iduna, Ali and Mark - I may not have EXIM data, but I have negatives and I went back and looked at them and can confirm that it was 100% a 28mm lens. So I stand corrected.
