jedi996sps Posted December 24, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 24, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thought i would share this. The 1st image was worked in LR and the 2nd in PS, similar operations carried out on both. The PS one took about 10x as long as the LR one. I prefer the 2nd one. m240/50lux/f1.4 Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Hi jedi996sps, Take a look here Lovely Eyes. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
A miller Posted December 24, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2014 very interesting, Ali. I actually like the skin tones in the first one, and everything else about the second. It is amazing how much detail can be extracted using PS. I need to learn it one day.
Louis Posted December 24, 2014 Share #3 Posted December 24, 2014 Ali, I also prefer the first one. I think the time you put in each program depends on how much you are familiar with each one. I guess I would put hours for a simple thing in LR since I am not very familiar with it! By the way, you are right about the eyes. Once I wrote an unpublished novel (!!!) in which my character had the same eyes and the only color I could think about to describe it was "Honey"! LOL
jedi996sps Posted December 24, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted December 24, 2014 Adam,Louis - thanks for looking and the feedback. It is really weird as when i pull up both the DNG and TIFF file and compare them side by side in LR, the skin tones are almost identical. But, clearly, there is a difference in the JPEG derived from each? I am forcing myself to learn PS albeit that i can do 95% of what i wish in LR, it is a long road, but one for me that i am enjoying travelling. Louis, eyes like honey and a milky smooth voice that caresses with words.
