Curious picture. The black woman has a terrific face. Reminds me one of those beautiful African head sculptures.

An interesting and complex slice of life - the fundamental difference in the two versions for me is that the stronger shot with more contrast brings the woman passer by in the background into the image much more, so that she becomes part of the dynamic of street life going on around the slightly unusually behaving couple in the foreground.

 

For me which of the images works best depends on the story you want to tell.
