Lenshacker Posted May 20, 2015 Share #22 Posted May 20, 2015 The JPEG engine uses the raw 14-bit image for processing before reducing to Jpeg. That's what I think is going on based on looking at my old High-ISO jpeg shots. Use the DNG for fastest write times. Use RAW mode (button dance) for highest image quality possible, but the write times will be very slow. You might save that for High ISO shots.
