I think this is one person praying and one reading the newspaper or doing the crossword as pointed out above.

 

Typically Jewish study houses have folk studying together on tables in pairs or triplets, hardly ever alone and never without a table due to the size and often quantity of books needed for reference

 

I like the light coming behind them. Has a tranquil feeling

That house is in Jaffa road right ?

I also have a pic taken of it, on a Panny GX1 ...

Such an amazing road for architecture and a real mixture of new and old as you approach the town hall.

 

Ill be in Haifa for two weeks hopefully over new year. Maybe will get a change to pop down to J'salem for a few days.
