Yes I did This time it was the 240 and Vario-Elmar 105-280.

Again the old combo - without Extender. Ol Petaja Conservancy. A mature male feeding of its favourite Thorn Acacia. After a while the tree will produce Tannins, making it inedible. And Feromones, setting the trees around it produce to Tannins in self-protection as well. A wonderful world - trees feeling pain and communicating...

The elephant...too close for comfort in my opinion, it looks annoyed!

These are two very interesting and instructive shots of animals in their own world,

not penned behind an enclosure in a zoo.

Elephants are fine when relaxed. Actually this one came up to us and not the other way around. After having a sniff it walked even closer, passing within a meter of the vehicle to get to its next tree. Normal Elephant behaviour.
