platypus Posted November 18, 2014 Share #1  Posted November 18, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) This little cottage is utterly neglected and is slowly disintegrating and collapsing a little more each year, it has recently developed an obvious backward lean. I imagined it going down one day like a house of cards and thought I'd photograph it before it does. M9/75 Summilux Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted November 18, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted November 18, 2014 Dee, Â Lovely tones, lighting, the magnificent clouds and sharpness. A shame that it couldn't be restored and enjoyed for its quaintness and llocation. Â Paul
Iduna Posted November 18, 2014 Share #3 Â Posted November 18, 2014 Dee, Â a fine picture and a sample for the weakness of human attitude while the trees are showing the true power of nature.

allamande Posted November 20, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted November 20, 2014 It is such an amazing setting that you would think whoever owned this place would take care of it. It is always very sad for me to see these beautiful structures go to waste through neglect. I bet lots of intricate history will disappear along with those wall. I'm glad you are documenting it. Can you get in closer and get inside? Â Ece
250swb Posted November 20, 2014 Share #6 Â Posted November 20, 2014 And to think somebody was probably very proud of it when it was new. A poignant photograph. Â Steve
platypus Posted November 20, 2014 Author Share #7 Â Posted November 20, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ece, yes....I can gain access, but it's frustrating as the little house has been uninhabited and used for storage for perhaps 40 years, all sorts of very valuable junk has just been piled in there willy nilly, thus far I have been quite unable to find a shot I want to take of the interior.
