Hi,

hope everyone had relaxing holidays and Christmas. So here it is, by now loaded with SilberSalz35 daylight film. Completed a roll over Christmas, three more rolls to go before sending to the lab for development and scanning. So far, it feels really good, love the simplicity, found myself looking for the on/off switch for the first couple of images but now its just pure fun.

Wish everyone a joyful, peaceful and healthy new year 2022.

Capped lenses !

 

So nothing wrong, only just me

feeling something not normal with those capped lenses.

Even worse when I see M without lens,

or maybe I've done it in the past 🙃

Hahaha, the M-A has a roll of film in it.  Although I never took any pictures of cameras without lens, because they were all digital bodies and don't want to expose dust to the sensor.

The way film prices are going, it'll soon be less expensive to just buy the M-A 😀

Yes, I think the original post was you can get an M2 for $500, so why buy an M-A?  This is to show that you cannot get an M2 anymore for $500..

I do not remember in 2015 M2's being this cheap. If memory serves me one in good work order hovered around $1000, but still..........$2400??

The sad thing (unless you already have one) is they will never get cheaper.   Bargains can be had but …..

Someone asked Mark Twain if he had any investment tips. Twain replied, buy land because they don’t make it anymore. 
 

They do still make film M’s and a new M-A’s price is becoming more “acceptable”. 
 

PS—- don’t tell leica or they’ll raise MP and M-A prices.

We've all noticed by now that some M-A's have a slotted lens release button and others like mine have a smooth silver button for the lens release. What gives?

Well I've never noticed that before but you appear to be right.  A change in production, I assume. My M-A is from 2017 and it has a smooth button.
