Northwest Wanderer Posted November 12, 2014 Share #1  Posted November 12, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I photographed this Whitetail doe within the boundaries of a state park. Seeing hunting is not allowed within the park, the deer are much less cautious in how they react to humans. I just snapped the image from my vehicle. Lucky me, lucky deer. fotografr Posted November 12, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted November 12, 2014 Lovely shot, Bill. And I like the way you processed it a lot. The deer anywhere one goes in this state are extremely wary--for good reason. When they see or smell a human, their white tail goes up and they go bounding off. It's pretty much that way with all wildlife in Wisconsin. If it moves, you can get a license to shoot it.

stuny Posted November 12, 2014 Share #4 Â Posted November 12, 2014 Lovely. They do become rather bold where they feel safe. Seeing that behavior inspired a colleauge to write a series of children's stories about a herd of deer.
Iduna Posted November 12, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted November 12, 2014 Bill, Â a wonderful capture, nice toning also. It conveys all that you are telling us about their existence in danger and being loved by the photographer.

Northwest Wanderer Posted November 12, 2014 Author Share #7 Â Posted November 12, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you everyone. As Brent mentioned,I think the processing really made the image work. Â The state park is a safe haven for deer, bear, mountain lion and mountain goat in my area. Lazy hunters watch from just outside the property line in hopes of an animal crossing onto open public lands. In my opinion that's not sportsmanship. Times have changed from when one depended on their woodsman skills.
