My old friend is a watchmaker in the Village. I needed a repair and set out to the Village to bring him warm tea. He has an ancient face. I have photographed him in his shop for over 10 years. Here's an updated version.

Love the complexity and the challenge this image presents. On the face of it, the sitter, the photographer, and us the viewers are part of some slice of time shared by all. But, the sitter's expression seems to defy that notion; sitting in front of a prominently displayed time piece, he seems to be telling us that he has no use for it at all. He is timeless. Where does that leave the photographer and the viewers?

This image is in an altogether different category than your usual work, Ben. Just super cool!
