pauledell Posted November 5, 2014 Share #6 Posted November 5, 2014 Mike, Wonderful lighting with lovely rich colors. I particularly like the way yo have treated the flowing water. A fine series. Paul

leica dream Posted November 5, 2014 Share #10 Posted November 5, 2014 Lovely set of images. No 1 is best for me because the tree branches add such a dramatic texture to the scene. Richard
Iduna Posted November 5, 2014 Share #11 Posted November 5, 2014 Mike, this is a fine series: subtle with wonderful colors and a defined quality of waterflow. Through the slomoption effect and this particular focal length the viewer is being drawn into the middle of the scene.
Louis Posted November 5, 2014 Share #12 Posted November 5, 2014 A wonderful set of rich seasonal colors!

Jan W. Tromp Posted November 7, 2014 Share #15 Posted November 7, 2014 Very nice color but (to me) destroyed by the way the water is seen here. This trick is way too old (as I am)
mikeleng Posted November 8, 2014 Author Share #16 Posted November 8, 2014 Hi Jan I'm not quite sure why you said trick, could you explain in a bit more detail . Regards Mike
erl Posted November 8, 2014 Share #17 Posted November 8, 2014 It's not a trick, but a technique. I too am way too old but acknowledge some techniques, such as 'freezing' motion, need a counterpoint occasionally. The posted pics lose nothing from using 'old' technique. basically, that is what photography is. An old technique.
Jan W. Tromp Posted November 16, 2014 Share #18 Posted November 16, 2014 Hi JanI'm not quite sure why you said trick, could you explain in a bit more detail . Regards Mike Mike, I wrote that as, to me, this water freeze has been used way too much. It is a very simple technique that may impress friends etc. The power or non-power of water (nature) can be shown in much more original ways, IMO. Meaning that, to me, the freeze is unnatural and more or less destroying the landscape. And one more point. When you were there at that point where you made these photo's you, IMO, missed the real beauty of that part of nature. But, feel free to have a contrary view on this as we are all doing what we like and thats the way is should stay:-) Jan
