Last week The Leica Society arranged a trip to Belton House near Grantham - it was a dull day and not so suitable for using my R9/DMR plus 21-35mm R inside the house. I did not take a tripod and most of the house interior photos attempted were unsuccessful - flash is not permitted in the house. However, I plan to go back and try again using a monopod inside the house plus a faster lens.

A few exterior photos were taken using the recently acquired 21-35mm R lens which I'm gradually getting used to.

Two statues in the west wing courtyard which I'm still trying to identify … photos are a technical exercise i.e. me getting used to the lens and its capabilities

And this is a crop of the first statue.

I'm pleased with the lens acquisition which has an equivalent 28-50mm zoom range with the DMR's 1.37 crop.

Best wishes

R9/DMR 21-35mm R ISO 200 1/12 f3.4 … I wanted to straighten up the fireguard before taking the photo - but visitors are not permitted to touch the artifacts - and security overseers occupy each room.
