Advertisement Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Hi hossegor, Take a look here Summilux FLE 35 with ND Filter. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MarkP Posted October 15, 2014 Share #22 Â Posted October 15, 2014 The hoods from earlier production runs of the 35 Summilux FLE only allowed Leica filters under the hood - even the B+W filters overhang by a fraction of a mm too much. When I pointed out to Leica that I couldn't get these filters under the hood of this lens, but could with the hood from my newer 21 SEM (identical part number) on either the 21 or 35 they gave me a new one even though the lens was well out of warranty. I only notice this problem when I got the Monochrom and wanted to use cloud filters as till then I had only use a Leica UV filter. There must have been a subtle mid-production modification to the hood. This issue was discussed here in the Forum a few years ago.
Jennifer Posted October 15, 2014 Share #23 Â Posted October 15, 2014 Will the B+W filter fit with the hood? Â I have the standard 46mm B+W 3 stop ND filter and it worked fine shooting wide open at midday, last summer in southern France with the hoods on both my 35 FLE and Lux 50. freitz Posted October 15, 2014 Author Share #24 Â Posted October 15, 2014 The regular ND? Yes. Still haven't ordered one? Â Not yet Been busy with work keep forgetting to order one when I am sitting here. Will probably do it now. Last weekend I noticed I over exposed almost every shot of an entire day... should have had my filter then.
