The Leica T embodies (for me ) everything that one would want in a camera:

Outstanding image quality with low ( easy to correct ) noise levels.

Great Lenses.

Responsive (with the 1.2 firmware update)

Quick and direct access to the important controls.

Compact, nice in the hands.

Beautiful, outstanding built quality.

I have had the Leica T for one and a half week and can still return it (2 week return

policy :The Camera Store in Calgary).

It is a keeper.

This is a 30% crop of a grab shot of my neighbour and her lovely little daughter ,auto auto everything.

A London dealer has a black Leica T 'as new', with 18-56mm Vario-Elmar-T, Visoflex EVF, and M-to-T mount Adapter (all boxed): £2060 for the whole lot! Clearly someone didn't get on with the assembly and it wasn't sold as soon as it was listed. Something of a surprise when most 'as new' Leica is priced at around 80% of retail cost.

It certainly has a different user interface and not as many features and speed as lets say a EM1 or GH4.

So the fact it works very well for some people doesnt mean it works for everybody.

But a much larger sensor, better build and it's smaller then those two .....

My son married his now lovely wife in Osoyoos, one of Canada's warmest areas.

The T performed flawlessly, I wasn't the wedding photographer and made sure I didn't

elbow him out of the way, although I have shot many wedding professionally.

His approach was machine gun like , mine more deliberate.

I love this little Leica.

Not a much larger sensor . . . just a little larger . . . and when you add the EVF, then it isn't really smaller either.

sorry to disagree with you

Advantages of the Leica T Typ 701 over E-M1

Screen size Much larger screen 3.7" vs 3.0"

More than 20% larger screen

Size Much smaller 134x69x33 mm vs 130x93x63 mm

2.5x smaller

Sensor size Larger sensor APS-C 23.6x15.7mm vs Four thirds 17.3x13.0mm

More than 60% larger sensor

Thickness Much thinner 1.3" vs 2.5"

Around 50% thinner

Weight Lighter 384 g vs 497 g

More than 20% lighter

Many numbers,

there is a slight difference in IQ in favor for the T but size and weight wise I don't feel much difference.
