Then processed further with Silver Efex Pro 2 100% Detail Crop These days I would use a Sony A7R for FF sensors (36 MP) or a Sony NEX-7 APS-C sensors (~57 MP equivalent resolution for 135 film). In landscape orientation the A7R shutter shock seems manageable for this lens , in portrait mode it is not . pauledell Posted September 7, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2014 K-H, I like the processing of the second color version and the b&w version equally well and the 100% crop is very impressive for its clarity and details. Paul
Tom Barry Posted September 7, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2014 I agree entirely with Paul!
allamande Posted September 7, 2014 Share #4 Posted September 7, 2014 And..I agree with both of them. The second version stands out for me, big time! Did you process that in LR? Ece
k-hawinkler Posted September 7, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted September 7, 2014 Paul, Tom, Ece, Thank you. Ece, I used Photoshop CS6, primarily its ACR part, and Nik. As Lightroom shares ACR with Photoshop I could have started with LR5 as well. All noise reduction and sharpening were done in Nik. B&W conversion was done with Nik's Silver Efex Pro 2. I also used the M9 embedded Presets that 01af posted on this forum awhile ago. The advantage of using Nik's Silver Efex Pro 2 comes from its many Presets that target a specific effect. They are named accordingly. Of course, one can fine tune by using the sliders.
platypus Posted September 8, 2014 Share #6 Posted September 8, 2014 The third version, the b&w un-cropped image, seems to stand out from the rest with increased detail and lovely tones. Great work all around though!
