I am using it with the M9 and the MM, usually with the 1.4 magnifier. Focus throw is 180°, so focusing is not that difficult. At 1m with the 1-2 cm depth of field I always do two or three shots, luckily something is always in focus. :D

If you want to use it at daylight wide open, you will need a three stop ND filter. And you will need a small flat lever to press the knob to release the lens.

I had the Canon 0.95 and parted with it when I bought the Noctilux 0.95. Still wish I would have kept it. It has pros and cons I used it extensively on M8 and M9, didn't have the MM back then. If you find a good copy it's a fun lens and produces some great images. Get it and enjoy! Just remember that you'll have to adjust contrast in PP!

Don't have an MM, but I had the 50/0.95 years ago which Ken Ruth tuned for use on my M4. It significantly blocked the RF/VF, was heavy as a brick, was dead on wide open, but honestly, I was disappointed. The DOF wide open almost necessitated a tripod in low light to get a sharp picture (central area only, of course). Stopped own a little it was sharp across the field, but I could just as easily have used much lighter Summilux or Summicrons. In the end I kept it for about 18 months, but didn't use it very much, and eventually sold it break even.

Excellent lens. Excellent!

But the Boké thing has been so overdone, pushed down our throats, my eyes have unfortunately been raped by too many con artists using boké as a means to impress.

Good lens, but often clumsily used (valid for noctilux, as well).
