Welcome to the LHSA Leica User Group in association with L-Camera Forum. I would like to thank the LHSA members who have worked to make this project a reality.

We hope this forum will provide a new way for LHSA members to communicate with each other as well as non members. We invite non members to join our community as well. Please visit our website (www.LHSA.org) for information on joining LHSA.

The new LHSA Forum was created to provide another value added service for our members. General inquiries and technical questions regarding the history and heritage of the Leica Brand along with new technology and trends can be answered and discussed by members and non-members in a respectful and timely manner.

This social media platform also provides a meeting place for discussion regarding our semiannual events, business planning, membership statistics and other internal information available to members only.

We will need to encourage non-member participation in our LHSA Forum and provide easy access to our social media sites. Our sites must be attractive to viewers, display meaningful content, and allow for easy sign up.

Please participate in this new venture by posting your questions and answering inquiries frequently. Spread the word by telling your camera friends about this new and exciting forum. Show them that this platform can provide for another source of education and entertainment, and by participating can increase your enthusiasm for you passion of the Leica Brand.

Please forgive my ignorance, but is The International Leica Society the same as LHSA ?

One word answer -yes. It is a fairly recent change so absolutely no ignorance on your part, and LHSA is still the prominent logo currently.

I was born and raised in the Detroit vicinity, did my undergrad in Ann Arbor. Just got back from an unplanned trip there a week ago, sadly it was to bury my mother. Greenfield Village is very interesting, was there on numerous field trips as a school kid. Every LHSA event I've been to has been very enjoyable, expect this one will be likewise. Hope y'all have a great time.

Great to have this facility, and thanks for the innovation! As a regular LUF user will check in here often.

Can I start by asking if the invite list mentioned in Viewfinder for the 50th Meeting is a hint that this Meeting will be in Wetzlar.

The 50th is in 2018. . I'd like to see Wetzlar too, but nothing that far out has been set.

2015 Spring Shoot is New Orleans

2015 Annual Meeting is Washington DC

2016 Spring Shoot is New York

2016 Annual Meeting is Vancouver BC

Beyond that nothing is set yet.

Was at the meetings in Wetzlar in 2006 and 2010, they were awesome! After the 2006 meeting rented a car and drove down through Bavaria for a few days and flew out of Munich. After 2010 took a train through the Alps to Venice. Great memories. Would love to see the new facilities.

Looking fwd to N.O. in the spring. NYC in 2016 too, kids live there. LHSA has been a great experience for many, many years.
