Anyone have a solution for ND grads on 24mm Summilux

I often use my 24mm Summilux for landscapes and would like to use neutral density graduated filters. The Summilux has no filter thread and uses series 7 filters held in place by the screw on hood. For other lenses that have a filter thread I use the Lee RF75/Seven5 filter system.

The only solution I can think of is to have a custom adapter ring made that would interface between the hood thread on the outside of the lens barrel and a standard filter thread, 60mm say, allowing a Lee 60mm to System75 adapter ring to be used. This would also work for the Lee polariser.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Thanks, I already have B+W Series 7 ND filters for the Summilux. The filters I wish to use are the rectangular graduated ones from the Lee RF75/Seven5 system.

I think the Leica E72 filter adapter suggested by Menos | M6 and Joakim_d is the answer. Lee have just introduced a RF75 72mm adapter ring which looks as if it will mate with the Leica adapter to give a solution :).

I've ordered the parts, thank you all.

I am using Singhray ND grad + other square Singhray filters (Cokin P format) through applying the Leica 82mm adapter to Series VIII filter thread size on my 21mm Lux, similar to 24mm Lux situation. However I had to use strips of black form to cover up the voids on the adapter to effectively use my ND grad filter.

I found a SE7 to 55mm adapter that works.  The only problem is the male thread is out the outside.  There is female to female adapter that can correct this.

with the female to female.  =)

In fact, I might not need a hood after adding these.
