A miller Posted August 8, 2014 Share #3 Posted August 8, 2014 very nice. My instinctive impulsive thought was an old WWII photo. It has that vintage film look
Guest Posted August 8, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 8, 2014 @Stuart, thank you very much. very nice. My instinctive impulsive thought was an old WWII photo. It has that vintage film look @ A miller, thank you, your comment is a good example of: What you read will affect you. I'm still impressed by a recently purchased old book of 1938 by Zuehlcke-Kruckenhauser: "The mountain picture with the Leica". Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted August 8, 2014 Share #5 Posted August 8, 2014 Yes, with the toning, framing and the vintage appearance, it does look like a film was used. Paul
newnew Posted August 10, 2014 Share #6 Posted August 10, 2014 It looks like all blue was taken away from the image. Interesting PP. And very interesting book too.

Paul Thanks Paul, yes it was the intention of getting a photo with the M8 quite similar to black-and-white film. It looks like all blue was taken away from the image. Interesting PP. And very interesting book too. Thanks newnew, not only the blue channel was reduced to zero, but also purple. Yellow, orange and aqua were particularly reduced, whereas red and green increased. The aim was to obtain an effect as if the picture has been taken with a polarizing filter. Welcome, dear visitor!
