JeTexas Posted July 21, 2014 Share #3 Posted July 21, 2014 How many cards do you guys carry? I just keep one in each camera and a spare in the bag. Should I be carrying more?
stuny Posted July 23, 2014 Share #4 Posted July 23, 2014 The number of cards you should carry varies according to your expectation of what you'll need in a particular time frame, such as on a vacation. Then bring twice that much in case of failure, loss of one or more cards, or far more to shoot than you imagined.
Echo63 Posted July 23, 2014 Share #5 Posted July 23, 2014 How many cards do you guys carry? I just keep one in each camera and a spare in the bag. Should I be carrying more? I have an 8gb in the M240, a 16gb in my X100, then 4x4gb in my bag. My work cameras both have 2x16gb CF in them and I have 4 more cards in my bag, I think they are 8gb and 4gb cards in my bag. I really like the Thinktank Pixel pocket card holder for storing my cards - emptying go in label up, full ones go label down
JeTexas Posted July 23, 2014 Share #6 Posted July 23, 2014 I guess I should have stated that I have 32GB cards in each camera and a 16GB in the bag. I can shoot all assignment or vacation and never fill one. I've been thinking about buying smaller cards for paid shoots and then just always leaving the shots on that card as back-up. Oh, and I carry my spare cards in an old film cannister.
