Advertisement Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Hi sblitz, Take a look here Positano. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted July 15, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2014 Steve, A fine shot of the busy marketplace with the man on the second story veranda in the center of the picture. Even though he's not conspicuous, it adds to the interest of the picture. Nice composition, tones and sharpness. Paul
stuny Posted July 16, 2014 Share #3 Posted July 16, 2014 Yikes! It looks like just about any cruise ship port, and yet another reason we do not cruise. Good shot, though.
andybarton Posted July 16, 2014 Share #4 Posted July 16, 2014 Positano isn't a cruise ship port. It's actually quite a charming place if you look beyond the beach shops. The Amalfi coast is stunning and well worth the drive from Sorrento to Amalfi
sblitz Posted July 17, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted July 17, 2014 You are quite right about the area, and I will post some pictures accordingly. Nevertheless, I was a bit disappointed about the sheer volume of stores selling their wares as we traipsed down the path to the sea. It looks, like so many places around the world, where commercialism has overtaken a good part of the charm that brought people to the area in the first place. Inevitable result for the most part, but nonetheless a bit disappointing. As for the natural beauty of the area -- incredible and so happy i took that drive along the Amalfi coast. A sight very much worth seeing.
