newnew Posted July 14, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 14, 2014 I like no 2 with the transition into the water that provides pictural qualities.
MarkP Posted July 14, 2014 Share #3 Posted July 14, 2014 Yes, #2 is beautiful - and who said they didn't like the colours from the M240?

Echo63 Posted July 14, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted July 14, 2014 thank you, gentlemen. i think #2 is going to become a large print on the wall at home.
pauledell Posted July 14, 2014 Share #6 Posted July 14, 2014 A wonderful pair with the magic strip of lighting striking the rocks, the subtle but rich colors, the crisp sharpness and the composition. Of course, the second is by far the best. Paul
platypus Posted July 14, 2014 Share #7 Posted July 14, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Both are excellent...but the second shot definitely has that special something!
michaelwj Posted July 16, 2014 Share #8 Posted July 16, 2014 Yes, the second shot is marvellous, that much is obvious. The first is maybe to busy? I find the textures too much, especially the water. Michael

I find the textures too much, especially the water. Michael An ND filter is on my list of things to buy - to allow me to shoot wider apertures during daylight, but to also allow slower shutter speeds for pictures like #1 Its funny, everyone here likes #2 the best, but my wife, and most people i have showed, prefer #1 Personally i think #2 is one of my best pictures ever
tundraline Posted July 16, 2014 Share #10 Posted July 16, 2014 I like No. 2 best as well. Great photo.
fotografr Posted July 16, 2014 Share #11 Posted July 16, 2014 Outstanding. I agree with the sentiments expressed about the second image. It's going to look great on your wall.

pauledell Posted August 11, 2014 Share #13 Posted August 11, 2014 This version is beautiful. Lovely colors, the sky with the clouds, clarity and composition. As much as I am interested in naval vessels, I think the ships may tend to distract from its beauty. Paul
antistatic Posted August 11, 2014 Share #14 Posted August 11, 2014 Lovely photos. I agree with the rest that number 3 is the pick of the litter. Justy trying to work out where abouts in Freo you were for the first two.
Iduna Posted August 11, 2014 Share #15 Posted August 11, 2014 of course, no 2 the stones are a favourite and it will look great as a large print. Evenso the same with the third light toned one. The first stone picture has a mysterious touch where as the third one with its light tones bears a touch of romantic atmosphere. Good job of the whole series and it was very much worthwhile running for the tripod.

Paul I agree, but i feel it needs the sky too, i couldn't find a composition i like without the sky (and that ship has been sitting there at anchor for a few weeks now, i don't know who's it is, but its not our navy) Lovely photos. I agree with the rest that number 3 is the pick of the litter. Justy trying to work out where abouts in Freo you were for the first two. Challenger Harbour, southern side, off Mews rd ! the third is off Port Beach Rd, between the North Mole, and Leighton Beach

pauledell Posted August 11, 2014 Share #18 Posted August 11, 2014 I agree, but i feel it needs the sky too, i couldn't find a composition i like without the sky (and that ship has been sitting there at anchor for a few weeks now, i don't know who's it is, but its not our navy) I agree with you there. The sky really makes the picture and if the ship is anchored, you have to take what you get. Still, a wonderful picture. Paul
lanetomlane Posted August 12, 2014 Share #19 Posted August 12, 2014 Great images, but unlike the majority I like number one. _______________________ Regards, Tom
