leica sf 24d issues

I recently picked up a leica sf 24d flash. The batteries die in 24 hours just sitting in flash. I thought I might have left it on. So I put a new pair in. Died again not even using the flash.

 

Anyone have or heard of this problem?

Sounds like there is a short in the circuitry. I've owned an SF-24d for years and even after being stored for months it would still come to life at the flip of a switch. Good luck and welcome to to the forum.

Thanks. I returned the flash. It was used from a local camera shop. Ordering a brand new one now.
