Rva Posted June 3, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted June 3, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Perhaps I'm doing wrong but after shooting with Noctilux 0.95 and M240 for a couple of weeks, I've checked "lens detection" in the menu and the option for Noctilux 0.95 11602 is not there. The reason was that Capture One 7 didn't show aperture correctly.
Advertisement Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Hi Rva, Take a look here Lens detection - Noctilux 0.95. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
swamiji Posted June 3, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted June 3, 2014 The reason it's not in the menu, is that there was never a non-coded version of that lens. You need it in automatic for the correct exif information. Â This has nothing to do with C1. C1 reads the estimated value, since there is no real value. Rva Posted June 3, 2014 Author Share #3 Â Posted June 3, 2014 So If I take a shot at aperture 0.95 than Capture One 7 will depict aperture 1.0, as I have realized. I certainly use Automatic mode.
Bill W Posted June 3, 2014 Share #4 Â Posted June 3, 2014 The actual aperture is estimated by the camera for EXIF data. There are no electronics in the lens that tells the camera the actual aperture.
