enboe Posted May 24, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted May 24, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Confessions of a Leica accumulator, I saw the 28/1.4 announcements and called my local dealer. Currently the 28/1.4 is only part of a kit, but I do expect a regular production lens to follow, so I contacted my local dealer to ask how many orders were ahead of me. I am proud to state that I have a deposit paid holding the #1 position in a queue for a product that doesn't officially exist yet. Â Yes, Leica causes us to do strange things. Advertisement Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Hi enboe, Take a look here Buying air (or who has ordered the 28/1.4). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
swamiji Posted May 24, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted May 24, 2014 Me too, but no deposit needed. My dealer knows I want a 28 lux, ever since the M9 was announced. I am using a 24 lux in its place. Bought it for the M8, I had at the time.
FrozenInTime Posted May 24, 2014 Share #3 Â Posted May 24, 2014 I think it would be a very useful lens ( I use 21/1.4,28/2,35/1.4 .... ) But, not wanting to pour on cold water, with Leica lenses of late, there seems to be a 50:50 chance that design oversights, requiring partial redesign, are uncovered by the first batch of customers. Â I will wait a year before committing, and thank you for your beta testing.

rramesh Posted May 26, 2014 Share #9 Â Posted May 26, 2014 Actually sealed cans of Hong Kong air was a a big souvenir marking the territory's return to China in 1997. Â It was called the 'Last Gasp of Colonial Air'. It has a warning 'Sniff at risk. Colonial Air, contains 100 percent pure pomposity. One whiff could lead to extreme arrogance, stiffening of the upper lip or worse."
