This evening I picked up my SEM 21mm from the Leica Store. As lovely and well built as my other lenses..... Of course it's dark now so I won't be able to try it out seriously until the weekend. Anyone care to share some shots to tide me over until then? :)

Thanks for all the examples, some very nice shots! I managed to get out over the weekend with the new lens and took some shots whilst wandering around Enkhuizen and Volendam in the Netherlands.

 

First impressions of the lens are it is very sharp and contrasty, even exposure across the whole frame, and nice colours. However it is important to think carefully about how to compose such a wide lens.

 

I was happy to find that when stopped down it is able to give nice starbursts with sources of light.....

is the Calypso yacht from the Dutch first astronaut Wubbo Ockels that sadly passed away recently?

 

 

No idea, although the sign on the rear of the boat, 'te koop', does mean that it is for sale....
