wpm Posted May 19, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I'm hoping someone with some experience with the 50 Summicron v.3 can let me know if that version is soft wide open. I was actually testing that lens against a Rigid I'm thinking of buying. The Rigid is much sharper at f2 whereas the version 3 is soft until f4. Is this typical? I'm hesitating on the Rigid because though the glass is good, it's a little cosmetically challenged. The v.3 was CLA'd last fall by Sherri K. Thanks in advance.
