I like the scenery with the perched village and its tiled rooves being embraced by the river. It looks as if it is built according to feng shui aspects. Dense forest and only small space for agriculture. It is good to learn that some of this does still exist in the South.

Good day! You have an good eye!

Indeed it is like your description...

And there are still many very interesting and pristine regions in Western China, just that one needs to know where, when and how to approach those places. You may also see few of those mentioned places in my: Series 5 Photo Gallery (photo-diaries)

Have a wonderful day!

Yst,

thanks a lot, I visited your site. most interesting series and gergeous pictures. I recognized some places when I was in Soth China in 2011, like Kaiping with those Diaolou-buildings. This year I'll be going to Hong Kong to explore the city and parts of its countryside hiking some of the famous trails there.

Very glad to hear that you've also been to the Kaiping area. Next time try the real western regions of China, very interesting and a lot to see and photograph for; though I could not show you my good images from that vast regions since all on slide film :o.
