We have a fort here located at the ridge of our "Teutoburger Wald" looking down to the city beneath. The walking path is a part of one our of long hiking trails , the "Hermann Trail". You can follow it through the forest for 200 km along the hills passing several cities of the region.

This place above our city is my favourite vantage point and at times it can be crowded In this case only a young girl sat waiting.

Ah, Iduna; you make miss Europe even more with these shots! I like them both but the second one more!

Iduna,

A fine pair with great composition, colors and clarity, I like them both equally well.

Louis,

thanks you so much. The second one is the common and most popular view here in the city.

Paul,

nice, thnks for liking the shots. They are not a spectacular view for the world but I go there quite often to capture different moods under differetn weather conditions.

Iduna, such a pleasure to see the view where a fort once stood. I can see why this is one of your favorite places.

Stuart,

thanks for visiting the vantage point.

Hank,

thanks for our visit. The Fort is still there but under full reconstruction (I hope they'll finish this work this year because we are celebrating the 800 aniversary now

)

I'll show some from that fort later then.

Brent,

this is nice, thanks a lot for understanding the potential of that location. In summer it is difficult because the tree is dominating and the view is limited then by its foliage.
